About Pierce

My name is Pierce. I have a French mother and a Kiwi father, and I’ve always felt a strong connection to both cultures. Bringing a touch of French flair to the beautiful Wairarapa has long been a dream of mine. In 2016, my wife and I moved from Wellington to Martinborough. We now have a young family and truly love the lifestyle and sense of community here.

I have been working in the hairdressing industry since 2006. Although I originally graduated with a degree in commerce, I soon realised my passion lay elsewhere and began my hairdressing apprenticeship. I trained in France, primarily in Brittany and Paris, where I was introduced to the Vidal Sassoon method — a discipline centred on precision cutting and strong technical foundations. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside some of the leading names in the French hairdressing industry.

Hairdressing has always been more than just a profession for me — it’s a genuine passion. I have a particular love for cutting, and even the simple sound of scissors at work is something I find deeply satisfying. I take great pride in helping clients feel their best and continually aim to refine and elevate each haircut.

I also enjoy working with colour, especially creating soft, natural balayage and more vibrant tones. Above all, I want every client to feel comfortable, relaxed, and truly looked after.
